OUR STORY
At Jira Models, we are committed to enhancing the representation of First Nations people throughout the fashion industry. Founded in 2017 by Perina Drummond, Jira made history as Australia’s first Indigenous modelling agency, quickly gaining recognition for its innovative approach.
As we grew, we expanded our services to include casting talent for film, media, and cultural projects, fostering a vibrant community of creatives.
In 2022, Perina launched our fashion and textile program, designed to nurture design skills and build industry connections within our community.
Vision
Our vision is a thriving global First Nations fashion and textile ecosystem that delivers economic and cultural value to all participants.
Mission
Our mission is to support the Australian First Nations fashion and textile sector to thrive.
We understand that the entrepreneurial journey can be complex, which is why we prioritise collaboration and co-creation with our community, stakeholders, and the broader industry.
At Jira, we embrace our responsibility to care for Country, recognising that sustainable growth in our sector requires thoughtful consideration of our raw materials.
Join us as we strive to make a meaningful impact in the fashion world.
